Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 September 2026
This policy explains what happens to personal data when you play, create an account, or write to us. It describes the game as it runs today.
Who operates the site
Farkle Online operates this website.
The operator is established in Turkey.
For privacy requests, email [email protected] or use the contact form.
Data we collect
The data depends on whether you play as a guest, create an account, or write to us.
- Account: email address, nickname, a hash of your password, avatar choice, email verification status, and the time you accepted the Terms of Use.
- Profile choices: whether you block friend requests, hide your online status, or hide from the leaderboard, plus a last-seen time used to show who is online.
- Guest play: a random token in the farkle_guest_token cookie for 30 days, and the nickname you use at the table.
- Play: room settings, scores, match results, and play time for registered players.
- Social features: friend requests, friends, direct messages, table chat, blocks, and reports.
- Moderation: ban records and moderator notes when a moderator acts on an account.
- Contact: the name, email, category, message, and any file you send through the contact form.
- Security mail: short-lived email verification codes and password reset links, stored only as hashes.
Why we use data
Each use has a reason that matches the feature.
- To provide the game, your account, and the features you ask for, under the contract in the Terms of Use.
- To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and remember essential cookies, as part of running the service.
- To measure visits, show ads, and record sessions only when you consent.
How long we keep data
Retention follows the feature that collected the data.
- Guest tokens and guest nicknames expire after 30 days.
- The session-replay choice cookie lasts about six months.
- Account data, match history, chat, and friends stay until you ask us to delete the account, or until a moderation dispute or a legal claim requires a record.
- Verification codes and password reset links expire on their own and are stored only as hashes.
- Contact messages stay long enough to answer you and to look back at a request if you write again.
Your choices and rights
While signed in, you can change your nickname, avatar, and social privacy settings.
You can withdraw analytics and ad consent with Ad and analytics choices in the footer, and session replay consent with Session replay choices.
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your account data. Where the law gives you the right, you can also object to a use of your data. Use the contact form. You can also email [email protected].
You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Deletion is handled by request. Settings does not yet include a delete button.
Children
Farkle Online is not directed at children under 16. Accounts are not knowingly created for children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
