Classic Farkle vs KCD Tavern Dice Scoring

KCD tavern dice uses the same push-your-luck turn structure as Farkle, but several scoring combinations are different. Choosing the correct preset matters because the best keep can change.

Rules both versions share

Both versions begin with six dice. A player keeps scoring dice and chooses whether to bank or roll the remainder. A roll with no score ends the turn and loses its unbanked points.

Single 1s and 5s score, triples score, and using every die for a score gives the player a fresh roll with all six dice.

Important KCD differences

KCD scores 1-2-3-4-5 as 500 and 2-3-4-5-6 as 750. A full 1-6 run scores 1,500. Three pairs do not receive the common Classic bonus.

For four, five, and six matching dice, the triple value doubles with each additional die. These differences can make a partial straight or a large matching set more valuable than it would be under another house rule.

  • 1-5 partial straight: 500
  • 2-6 partial straight: 750
  • 1-6 full straight: 1,500
  • Three pairs: no special KCD score
  • Four or more of a kind: chained doubling from the triple value

What this browser version adds

The original KCD dice activity is played against an in-game opponent. Farkle Online applies the KCD scoring preset to private multiplayer rooms with up to eight seats and optional bots.

This is an independent fan-made implementation of the scoring style. It does not reproduce KCD artwork, characters, special weighted dice, badges, or ownership systems.
